POSTSCRIPT I was away for just over three weeks, did over a thousand miles on the bike and happily everything went brilliantly and smoothly. I had great weather, just the odd shower once or twice, no punctures or mechanical problems and no encounters with thieves, conmen, pirates or other unsavoury desperadoes. Just some fine scenery, historic towns, quiet rolling roads and plentiful cheese omelettes. A great trip. Anything I’d do differently? Take a spare key for the bike lock; apart from that it went so smoothly I can't think of any way to improve things. Thanks To Eurobus Express - friendly and efficient, a great service. To Andrew for his company. And of course once again thanks to my wonderful wife, Trisha, for putting up with my forays into the wilderness and being there on my return with a pie and a pair of socks for me xxx.
